was born in 1974 in Manaus, Brazil.
After graduating with a degree in architecture in 2002, she moved to Europe where she now lives. Roberta focuses on her own body as theme for her work and uses varying media, such as photographs, video and installations to present her performances.Her work is influenced by unusual performers of sideshows, circus and subculture movements. Roberta interprets and recreates practices and rituals of body modification by presenting her personal experiences in different and conceptual contexts. Her recent solo exhibitions 2008 include "Into Pieces" (das weisse haus, Vienna) ; "6teen Stitches" (Donau Festival, Krems) ; Atelier and traveling fellowship in Peking, China for the year 2009 (Bundesministerium für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur, Austria)
