Much of his achievements were made in his atelier. Works he made from 1976 to 1984 were exhibited in several countries, such as Denmark, Sweden and Norway. In 1986, he collaborated with film directors to produce special effects and settings of films. Maistre collaborated with Dario Fo, Alferdo Arias, Youssef Chain, Andre Engel Engel, Robert Enrico, Julie Gavras, Bigas Lunas and Yannis Cocos. He was also commissioned to create sculptures in Spain and France.
