Gilberto Di Stazio Gilberto Di Stazio

Gilberto di Stazio graduated from the Art Licco in Rome and
later on, in 1967, took a degree in architecture. The artist
has been working for some years at a research closely
linked with the materials, first in the paintings and later on
in the installations, carefully looking to obtain and exalt
tridimensional effects. His installation of human beings that
however contemplates the possibility of a redemotion in which
they nevertheless hope. Di Stazio’s works, inspired by social
realities, are aimed at conveying more complex emotions,
touching the most secret points of human mind in order to
strengthen the contact among the audience, the city and the
territory and to establish a close link between art and society.
Among his numerous one-man shows we quote hereunder
the exhibit in 1955 at the Studio S-Arte Contemporanea in
Rome, and the two installations in the Assembly Hall of the
Liceo Artistico Ripetta in Rome in 2007 and 2008. He took part
in several official shows among which Signals—A.R.G.A.M.—
Academy of Arts and New Technologies (Rome, 1997), in the
Where Utopia Lives, Permanent ,(1997/Cairo Biennale (1996
Museum (Milan, 1998): Sensible Architectures, Castle of
Rivara-Centre of Contemporary Art-Rivara, 2008. His works
.are to be found in Italian museums and public collections
